NUTS

Nylon nuts, also known as Nyloc nuts, are a type of fastener that have a cylindrical body and a square or hexagonal outer surface. They are made of nylon, which makes them strong and resistant to wear and tear.
A distinctive feature of these nuts is the band of nylon material at the end. This nylon collar increases friction so that the nylon nuts are less likely to loosen. They are particularly useful in applications that require repeated assembly and disassembly, as the nylon filling in the centre ensures minimum damage to the material component

Advantages of Nylon nuts:
  • Corrosion Resistance: Nylon nuts are made from a synthetic material, which means they won’t corrode in most environments, unlike steel or other metals. This makes them perfect for outdoor applications, as they won’t rust or degrade over time.
  • Vibration Resistance: The nylon insert inside the nut creates friction against the bolt threads, which helps prevent the nut from coming loose due to vibrations and shocks. This makes nylon lock nuts ideal for applications where machinery, vehicles, or equipment experience continuous movement or external forces.
  • Temperature Stability: Nylon lock nuts maintain their locking capability over a broad temperature range. The nylon insert retains its properties in both high and low-temperature environments, ensuring consistent performance.
Common Uses:
  • Nylon nuts are used in appliances, furniture, and other household items.
  • In the technology sector, nylon nuts are used in computers and other electronic devices.
